U2's 1987 epic, The Joshua Tree, became one of the most successful albums in music history and catapulted the band to dizzying heights. This full-length documentary follows the band on a trek across North America in the fall of that year for their Rattle and Hum tour. Shot mostly in black and white, the film features both concert and behind-the-scenes footage. Highlights include reverent visits to birthplaces-of-rock, Sun Studios and Graceland, "taking back" the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" from Charles Manson, and a pounding performance of "Bullet in the Blue Sky." The band also teams with a Harlem gospel choir for an inspiring version of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," and gets help from legendary bluesman B.B. King on "When Love Comes to Town."
